ABOUT US
We are Elena Karmínia Nuitaguóriz and Cristian Bravo, international-level Argentine tango teachers and dancers with more than 20 years of experience. We have conducted tango classes and shows in various places in Chile and Europe: Paris, Nice, Vichy, Stockholm, Moscow, etc.
Our professional training in tango took place in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where we specialized in the traditional forms of tango as well as in the most contemporary techniques of this dance. In this way, we have developed an innovative and organic pedagogical method that is based on the nature of the body and the individual characteristics of each student.
HOW WE TEACH
The work we do in classes is always maximally personalized. We believe that anyone who knows how to walk can learn tango. We take into account the characteristics and abilities of each student to teach in the most suitable way for each individual. This way, we achieve amazing results with students of all ages and physical abilities.
APPROACH
Through constant analysis of ourselves, our students, and our pedagogical methods, we have discovered several flaws in the traditional teaching of this dance, which stem from a lack of personal analysis and knowledge about the natural functioning of the human body. These flaws hinder and even make it impossible for the student to progress. The use of incorrect technique not only makes it impossible to master this dance at a high level but can also harm the body and, over time, lead to constant pain and chronic injuries.
OUR VISION
We believe that tango should be a positive experience and provide only benefits—both physically and emotionally. To achieve this, it is necessary to understand which movements, positions, and postures are the most natural and harmless for the human body, and to build the dance from this knowledge, thus avoiding any harm to the body and contributing to faster learning process and higher quality of the dance. Our main focus in tango classes is to convey this knowledge to our students in an easy and enjoyable way :-) .
